Roundtrip — Terms & Privacy

This page covers what is specific to Roundtrip, the returns and exchanges app. It sits on top of the terms and privacy notice common to every Keelhelm app; read them together.

What Roundtrip reads and does

Roundtrip requests read access to your orders, customers, and products, and read and write access to your returns, to run a self-service returns and exchanges portal and resolve returns to refunds, exchanges, or store credit.

Store-credit resolutions

When a return is resolved to store credit, Roundtrip issues native Shopify store credit through the same shared ledger that Punchcard and Refill use — the balance lives in the customer's Shopify account. This works whether or not those apps are installed.

Return labels

When a return needs a shipping label, the label data is handled either through Shopify's own return-label service or through your own connected carrier-account credentials — Roundtrip does not store your carrier credentials.

Where Roundtrip is available

Roundtrip launches for stores shipping within the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Availability in other regions may follow later.

Plans

Roundtrip offers Free, Starter, Growth, and Unlimited plans — month-to-month, with no annual lock-in — billed through Shopify (monthly, or annually at a discount if you choose it). Current prices and limits are on the pricing page.

Data retention and deletion

Return-state and store-credit-ledger records are kept while Roundtrip is installed and are deleted or anonymized on uninstall and on Shopify's customers/redact and shop/redact requests, as described in the common privacy notice.

Roundtrip is operated by Keelhelm. Beyond this page, the common app terms and app privacy notice apply, and so do the company-wide Terms, Acceptable Use, Privacy, and Copyright / DMCA policies, incorporated by reference.
